Cybersecurity Trends for 2021
Bell bottoms, neon colors…kale…trends come, and trends go, and generally, we’re not one to care much about what’s in style, but cybersecurity trends? That’s one we can get behind and think that there can never be enough of!
So, what can you expect to see as both a consumer, employee, employer, business owner or just a member of the general public who has a computer? Let’s take a look at what we are seeing.
Airline Cybersecurity
All airlines face the same struggles and risk as many other organizations and companies. Threats affecting email, files servers, databases, website and applications are inherently at risk. However another major cyber security concern for airlines is the company reputation. No airlines, big or small, wishes to have their brand associated with hacking. In fact, a large majority of cyberattacks do not intend to compromise critical avionic systems or gain control over the aircraft. The more likely scenario is to have In-Flight Entertainment systems (IFE) or on-board Wi-Fi connectivity taken over by attackers.
Cybersecurity and Privacy for Not-for-Profits and Charities
As a not-for-profit or charitable organization, the threat of a cyber breach may not be top of mind. After all, why would any hacker attack a charitable organization or a non-profit (NFP)?
Facebook Status: Away on Vacation (Uh Oh)
Social media is great for a lot of things. Sharing photos, reconnecting with old friends, finding like-minded people and groups to share ideas and hobbies. But when does sharing become oversharing?
Hackers gain access to your personal data via your profile and the information you share there – and you don’t even realize it’s happening. Photos with your children and pets with identifying names on them, locations of where you’ve been, or where you are currently on vacation.
You Can Have My Heart – BUT Not My Money
Love is in the air, and many people are turning to the Internet to find it. We all know someone who has met their significant other online or at least is having a good time while trying to find them by dating a few people they’ve met through dating apps or services.
